Getting to Sun Valley Resort

Sun Valley Resort provides complimentary shuttle service to and from Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) in Hailey, Idaho for guests of Sun Valley Resort.

Reservations must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance with the Bell Service desk at 208-622-2122 or by email at svshuttle@sunvalley.com.

Please provide the following details:

• Number of guests in the party
• Airline and flight number
• Cell phone number

And don’t forget to book your departure shuttle.

Parking

Enjoy free parking at the Sun Valley Village and mountain base areas.

Electric Vehicle Charging

Sun Valley Resort currently hosts three Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations. They have two Tesla Wall Connectors that deliver up to 64 amps of power, and a universal J-1772 station that can charge all electric vehicles and delivers up to 32 amps of power.

Getting Around

If you are staying at Sun Valley Resort (Sun Valley Lodge or Sun Valley Inn), complimentary airport transportation is provided. Reservations must be made in advance with your arrival and departure details to svshuttle@sunvalley.com.

When you visit Sun Valley, getting around the area is easy, and there’s no need to rent a car. The free Mountain Rides bus system provides convenient transportation throughout Ketchum and the Sun Valley Resort area, with buses arriving as frequently as every 15 minutes.

Sun Valley Resort is located just over one mile from downtown Ketchum. A well-maintained bike and pedestrian path connects the resort directly to town. Because the area is part of a Dark Sky Reserve, carry a flashlight or headlamp if walking at night.

Uber and Lyft do operate in the valley, but availability can be limited and service is generally not considered reliable.

For a car-free option to get around on your own schedule, attendees can rent bikes and equipment at Pete Lane’s Mountain Sports with a 25% discount. Pete Lane’s is open 9:00am to 5:00pm daily, and all rentals include a helmet and a lock. Call or stop in and mention the MT2030 Climate Summit to receive the discount.

Dining Out in Ketchum

Ketchum is just one mile from Sun Valley Resort and offers a variety of restaurant options. Visit Sun Valley compiled a list of restaurants for anyone wanting to book in advance of their visit. Frequent public transportation is available to Ketchum on the Blue Route, running from Baldy View Circle at Sun Valley Resort to Main Street in Ketchum. Alternatively, it is a pleasant walk on a paved path.

What to Bring

Be sure to bring your reusable water bottle, as we will have water filling stations.

Summit attire is casual. Bring comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing for walking outdoors between sessions. The weather in Sun Valley in October can vary from snowing to beautiful, sunny 60-degree days. Evenings will be cool.
