WORK

We’re focused on building capacity where it otherwise would not have existed

We're helping communities move faster and farther together than they ever could alone.

We convene a powerful coalition of mountain leaders: local governments, sustainability teams, ski resorts, and businesses to share existing knowledge and proven solutions. Our peer-driven, highly collaborative model builds local capacity and helps communities move from planning to implementation faster, compressing years of work into months. This is our unique approach to addressing climate change at scale.

“MT2030 has played a monumental role in Ridgway’s climate action efforts, both by providing a platform where we can get inspiration and guidance from mountain towns of all sizes, as well as by providing technical assistance and resources of all kinds. We’re stronger together!”

The Solutions Framework

A first-of-its-kind online platform that equips communities with:

  • Case Studies from peer towns
  • Implementation guides and policy templates
  • Data, vendor insights, and financing pathways
  • Direct connections to leaders who have already done that work

The Local Leaders Project

Meaningful climate action only happens with unwavering local leadership. This program identifies, trains and equips the next generation of emerging leaders with the skills to run for office and shape local climate policy.

Advocacy & Engagement

Mountain communities are economic drivers with elected officials and ski resort leaders having a powerful voice. We leverage their influence to help drive new climate policies forward at the state and federal levels.
