The Climate Solutions Summit is MT2030’s annual gathering of mountain and outdoor community stakeholders: resort companies, local elected and government officials, businesses, community leaders and local NGO’s.
Recognizing that every mountain and outdoor community is under the same threat, with various levels of resources at-hand, the Climate Solutions Summit is the forum for our movement – an opportunity for individuals representing the diverse culture of our mountain and outdoor communities to convene and collaborate on climate solutions.
With inspiring keynotes, presentation sessions and solutions-oriented workshops, the goal of the three-day event is to bring together leaders from our mountain and outdoor communities, elevating common issues, trading best practices and challenges and finding achievable solutions that accelerate a collective movement to zero-carbon emissions.
The inaugural 2019 Summit was represented by over 30 mountain towns & counties, 15 governmental organizations, 30 non-profits, and 40 businesses.
The relationships and knowledge we gained through our involvement in the inaugural Net Zero Summit were the tipping point for the commitments we have made in fighting climate change, including our pledge to net-zero emissions by 2030. As well, the level of collaboration on environmental sustainability efforts among Boyne Resorts and the ski industry’s other large resort companies has surpassed expectations and much credit goes to Mountain Towns 2030 for uniting us on this urgent crisis we can best address collectively.
